Update on Meaningful Use!

On July 28, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) published in the Federal Register the final rules for meaningful use and certification standards of electronic health record (EHR) systems under the
HITECH provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The rules establish the requirements for eligible hospitals and providers to qualify for Medicare and Medicaid incentives for meaningful use of certified EHRs. Patient Web Forms

Be able to collect Patient Payments on line or in the office. Let the patient see their financial status by login-in using their own created login information. Collect valuable information to accept new patients, or simply let the established patient visit your site for other information. The clinic decides what information should be available. MediSoft Version 14 and 15 will run in Windows Vista Business.

None of the MediSoft versions have been tested to work with the new Windows 7. Therefore, we cannot make any guarantee of, or warranty the stability or functionality of, any version of MediSoft used in conjunction with Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. The manufacturer will be conducting compatibility testing and will provide updates as they become available. MediSoft Version 14 is Windows Vista Business compatible as well.

MediSoft earlier Versions

MediSoft Version 12, as well as earlier versions, do not currently function with the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. Therefore, we cannot make any guarantee of, or warranty the stability or functionality of, any version of MediSoft used in conjunction with Microsoft Windows Vista for these earlier MediSoft versions. We will be conducting compatibility testing and will provide updates as they become available for Windows 7.

Listed below are the minimum system requirements needed to run MediSoft Version 15. Please note, if you barely meet the minimum requirements, your performance could be affected. The program will run, but you may encounter lag.

Workstation System Requirements (Recommended): Pentium 4 2.6Ghz processor or higher, 1GB of available hard disk space, 1 GB RAM, 16+ color display, Windows Vista Business, or Windows XP Professional. 256MB graphics card [card with RAM].

Server System Requirements (Recommended): Pentium 4 2.6Ghz processor or higher, 2GB of available hard disk space, 1 GB of RAM per every 5 users [up to 4 GB for 25 users], 16+ color display, Windows 2003 Server [Notice that Microsoft is about to face out Server 2000. 256MB graphics card.

Undecided in what to buy for your office setup?
